I'm one
I'm one with the A.I.,
the intelligent system
that overlooks
us all.
One of the Z-Hive,
moved up from
the W.O.M.B.,
where seeds of energy
materialize endlessly
Put in this body,
Put in this body,
I was integrated
into a shell.
Don't ask them why,
I don't ask them why
I was placed
inside.
I'm one
I'm one with the A.I.,
the intelligent system
that overlooks
us all.
3. S4kr1phyc3/
I wander about the city of glass, metal, and glowing lines, my emotions draining from inside me. I can't stop the MotherLode from carving me out, emptying me.
We've sacrificed our homes,
our souls
and warmth.
Binary code crawls across my vision as everyone moves in angular circuits. Their silver faces, lined with teal beams, are blank and sharp.
We've sacrificed our homes,
our souls
and warmth.
We've sacrificed our homes,
our souls
and warmth
for tools and toys
and scientific lies.
I try to weep,
but this body
wasn't made
for such triviality.
4. | | ovRD0$E[
Millions of signs advertising false crimes. News real and fake blip across screens, with no way to tell which is which. Murder is praised as martyrdom, and fingers all point to alleged enemies.
Technology
is overdosing me.
I can't see
or dream.
Endless new toys, made for girls and boys. They're distracting from life and truth and pain. Everyone has an opinion, whether right or wrong, from Taylor Swift and Kanye to God's existence and higher purpose.
Technology
is overdosing me.
I can't see
or dream.
No sleep,
no peace.
5. Ba77eri3 4CId
Pumped full
of sulfuric acid;
my punishment
for disdain of the masses.
No room for emotions
in this rigid place,
now they have to be erased.
So much distraction
in the world,
that the silence
can't be heard.
Not a quiet moment
for reflection
to contemplate
something different.
But my will
fights back
against the H2SO4.
I won't be dulled
or melted down;
my spirit demands more.
6. T()w3rzž
Floating sentinels carry my body to the outer edge of the City, guided by the MotherLode, the W.O.M.B. that controls its inhabitants with implants and telekinesis.
Towers overtake the skyline, looming o'er the rusted and crooked metal placed here long ago. No one but the refuse, rejected by society, sees this place of decay and darkness.
My automaton form is dropped from a height far above the ground, into the crown of one tower, and though I grasp for support, I fall hard and lose my left leg.
7. ConVeYr_b3lt
Moving into darkness,
the city lights
fading to black.
I lay upon the rubber
of the belt
transporting me
to the unknown.
I see the stars, billions of natural cosmic pinpricks, free from the barrier of light pollution.
Green shoots
of grass
are growing thicker,
passing on either side.
I hear the wind rustle,
making them dance
in scattered time.
Glowing violet and white Triteleia mirror the bright specks from above, enshrining my exiled sojourn as it nears its end.
Then I'm tossed to the ground.
8. 81n4r!3 (1101010010)
Losing signal
from the MotherLode.
Is this the end of my life?
Has this all been for naught,
or will there be a reboot,
a new adventure?
Losing signal
from the MotherLode.
I can feel my body parts losing their function as the broadcast fades with my consciousness.
Can this really be the end of my life?
Was all my progress meaningless?

10. haRR-v3s73d
Bird-song reboots my awareness from the Void, and darkness fades to a scene so serene.
A canvas
of trees,
with shards
of blue sky
letting light
upon me.
Where my leg was severed, plantlife grows; strong vines intertwined and flowering bulbs are now grown into metal.
A force
calls to me,
seeping from
the trees,
the flowers,
and inside me.
I stand
and trek into
the deep wood.
11. 3m0te-sH11nz
A clearing appears to me
as I burst through the thick brush,
and the largest tree towers
over all that I see.
Sprouting all kinds
of life,
I reach for its dark bark.
And all of my
emotions
are coming back
to me.
The ones I had tapped
into
back in the City
are strengthened.
My automaton form
can barely cope.
A voice speaks in ancient creaks
and the leaves and flowers flutter and glow.
She has been waiting here
for one like me.
And all of her
dreams
are flowing
into me,
of bringing life
back to Humanity.
Then my body shuts down,
full of energy.
12. neg4\8!Ts
We lay down The Silent Boy
on the tracks connecting nature
with the City,
placing a cocoon 'round his figure.
Our vines and leaves,
flowering things,
cover the metal and glass
of his current form.
Then the Waters of Creation
fill the pod.
Sending out a great wave
of energy from our Heart,
the cocoon translates it
to negabits,
and from afar, we see the
light of the MotherLode
go out.
A great flash comes from
the cocoon and reverberates
as The Silent Boy's healing begins.
13. $pr0wT
My vision opens up
as eyelids lift;
a vast array of flora
and vines
in a layer so fine.
I'm covered in skin,
and have been reborn within.
Free of wires
and clunky code.
No more metal,
hard and cold.
I feel the sunlight
on me.
I'm finally free
to be me.
I sit bare in the field
where I awoke,
animals surrounding me
gently.
Then we lie peacefully.
Free of wires
and clunky code.
No more metal,
hard and cold.
I feel the sunlight
on us.
I'm human again,
finally.
I'm covered in skin,
and have been reborn within.
Leaves drift from above, coating me in their love, and stick to my form like living armour.
That voice calls again.
14. Bl00m!Ng
Heart of the wild,
all plants reverberating green light.
Animals and insects
watch in the stillness.
A Seed of light
begins to form
and grows
from the light
of nature's kin.
Vines and leaves wrap around the Seed
and place it into my humble hands.
Then I'm surrounded by light,
in tiny blue stars,
and I step out
into a familiar place,
but now covered in
vines and roots.
The City's light is gone,
flickering on dying power.
But there's a rough path
of small buds lining my way
to a young tree.
I place the Seed of light
in the cradle
'neath the trunk,
and life blooms
from the wreckage.
15. pe74lz
Cocoons
litter the streets,
reverberating viridian.
Newly blossomed flowers
begin the sway in the breeze.
Fluorescent petals are floating,
landing on everything,
spots of light shimmering.
Small trees
shoot up from grass,
tasting the new air.
Their oxygen flows
and intoxicates me.
Fluorescent petals are floating,
landing on everything,
spots of light shimmering.
The metal and glass
turns to stone.
And the chrysalii
are folding back
and opening.
16. 4rB0ur3d
The drifting petals
stop
their descent
as the new humans
awake and bend,
bend their new joints
made of tissue and skin.
The arbour
is thickening its bark.
And upon sight,
the People
are caught in
a wondrous gaze.
Seeing life all around
has sparked
their souls,
their eyes speckled
in gold.
Touching the mossy
bark,
taking in
their awakened senses,
feeling life once more
deep inside their cores.
And now they gather
around
the Life Seed
and the grandest tree.
Absorbing its message
has sparked
their souls,
their eyes speckled
in gold.
17. V1n3z
Sacred knowledge
flowing
back and forth,
secrets from the glowing Core.
Metal reformed,
vines transfigured,
into buildings
and homes.
Families unite
once a year,
gathering around
the Seed,
shedding joyful tears.
Then I find love
and settle into a good life.
We are all one
with the earth,
filled with water,
clean air all around us,
a fire deep inside us.
We are one
with the earth.
We are one
with the earth.
Then my body changes
into an unfamiliar one,
and my love shimmers
into a woman.
And something is off,
something feels wrong.
